What DistressMap is

DistressMap is a search tool for real estate professionals. It helps you find properties and their owners using public records and licensed property data.

Not a consumer report

DistressMap is not a consumer reporting agency, and its data is not a "consumer report" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use DistressMap to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

Contacting owners

You alone are responsible for how you contact anyone you find on DistressMap. You must follow all applicable laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the National Do Not Call Registry and state do-not-call lists, state telemarketing laws (including Florida's), and CAN-SPAM. Don't use autodialers, prerecorded or AI voices, or automated texts to reach people without the consent the law requires. Don't harass, threaten or mislead anyone.

Accuracy

Property data changes, and public records contain errors. Everything on DistressMap is provided "as is", without any guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current. Verify ownership and title independently before you rely on them, for example with a title company.

Acceptable use

We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Paid plans

Pricing and what each plan includes are shown at sign-up. Founding member pricing stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active.

Liability

As far as the law allows, DistressMap is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If you keep using DistressMap after a change, you accept the updated terms.
